How to make decisions in a complex world
Reminds me of James Clear’s article on simplicity.
Beginner = ignorant simplicity.
Intermediate = functional complexity.
Advanced = profound simplicity.
— James Clear
Nah, he still stupid.
This article explained the other side of complexity with stupendous sophistication. Thank you.
To the point. Wisdom is way better than academic intellectualization.
Is there ever a way to bypass the complexity barrier, or is it a prerequisite that one musters to earn the right to be simple?
Great read. Love this perspective on complexity! Opened my eyes.
I'm still skeptical of there being wisdom to the Elon Musk Twitter engagement. It may well be that a social media platform sits outside of Elon's self-admittedly non-social skill set -- and that this is new information for the VCs who would previously have bet on him.
We'll see where all the big advertisers sit a year from now, but for now, my understanding Is that Twitter has lost a lot of its major ad revenue. Part of this is because the major advertisers have been afraid of reputational damage from Elon Musk's welcome home party for noxious formerly banned Twitter users. But part of it is because Musk's purging of staff also purged the people who give the big advertisers the customer service they want in order to feel safe in their ads buys.
In many ways, Twitter's loss of major advertising revenue was a self-inflicted series of gunshots by Elon Musk. Maybe the gunshots can heal. Maybe they can't.
To understand someone's simplicity when faced with complexity in its totality one has to be either a failed or a successful entrepreneur.
Simply considering an alternative to the 'Elon is stupid' view takes wisdom.
Perhaps Elon simply has a vision for the future of Twitter.
Perhaps Twitter together with Tesla, Boring, SpaceX, ..., will become one large ecosystem of products and services. It would be nice to hear your thoughts on this.

And you did you again.
Not easy: step forward.
Of course, you must have your reasons for your post(s/actions) other than what is you.
Cool essay but Elon massively overpaid for twitter and he did because he has a huge ego. It was stupid.
